(A City's Story) A Creative Memory of the Syrian Revolution
City: اللاذقية
By the kind invitation of Syrians Are Free Association, Faal Foundation proudly participated in the event: “Story of a City | Between Parentheses… A Creative Memory of the Syrian Revolution.” The event brought together memory, culture, and art to tell the story of a homeland that still believes in life despite all the pain and challenges it has endured. It was a vibrant space for free expression, reviving the memories of Syrian cities that have been exhausted by years of hardship, yet still carry stories of resilience and hope within their streets and people. Through art, words, and visual expression, the event reaffirmed that culture is not a luxury, but an act of resistance and a way to preserve identity and history. At Faal Foundation, we believe that building social awareness begins with protecting collective memory and creating spaces where young people can express themselves, engage in dialogue, and contribute to shaping a more humane and just future.
