Faal Foundation – Tartus Branch responded to the invitation of the Directorate of Social Affairs and Labor to participate in the consultation meeting "Towards a Shared Vision to Address Begging," held in cooperation with the Tartus Governorate and Oudh Akhdar Foundation. The meeting discussed the causes of the phenomenon and ways to reduce it, focusing on distinguishing between the genuinely needy and organized begging cases. Dr. Julie Khoury emphasized that cooperation between civil society and official bodies is essential to provide proper support and protect the community from organized begging. This meeting is part of the "Tartus, City of Life" campaign to find sustainable solutions for the issue.
