Tala Loai Moalla
I am Tala Louay Maalla, a third-year student at the Faculty of Business Administration, specializing in Financial and Banking Management at Al-Manara Private University. I currently serve as the Human Resources (HR) Manager for the international team "DEX Lab," which focuses on global scientific competitions.
I have combined academic excellence with a keen interest in science and astrophysics. Driven by a belief in the importance of continuous learning and the pursuit of distinction, I ranked first in my university cohort during both my first year (with a GPA of 3.65/4) and my second year (with a GPA of 3.80/4).
In the scientific realm, I was awarded a bronze medal in the International Astronomy and Astrophysics Competition (IAAC) in both 2022 and 2023, and a bronze medal in the International Youth Math Challenge in 2022. Furthermore, I participated in a scientific competition affiliated with the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) and attended a workshop featuring ambassadors and experts associated with the International Space Station (ISS) and NASA.
My scientific interests have enabled me to connect with various scientists and researchers through virtual meetings on platforms such as Zoom and Google Meet, including Professor Rana Dajani. Additionally, I had a unique scientific experience visiting the ATLAS facility at CERN, where I descended nearly 100 meters underground. This visit provided me with the opportunity to meet with scientists and researchers and gain firsthand insight into the environment of scientific research. Through my work with the DEX Lab team, I participated in an experience where our team secured first place globally in a project to design a human-habitable colony on Mars. This experience deepened my interest in teamwork and international scientific projects.
I believe that combining scientific knowledge with management and leadership skills opens vast horizons for innovation and creating a meaningful impact. I aim to further develop my capabilities and expertise in both management and science, and to apply the knowledge and experience I gain toward initiatives and projects that empower young people and enhance their presence in scientific and managerial fields on an international scale.
